| What to Wear | ||||||||
| Wear non-restrictive clothing. Yoga is practiced in bare feet. | ||||||||
| Mats and props are provided, but on-going students are encouraged to bring their own mats when possible. Mats are available for sale at the studio. | ||||||||
| Level Descriptions | ||||||||
| Level 1 classes are geared toward the | ||||||||
| student with little or no experience. | ||||||||
| Level 1&2 & All Levels classes offer detailed instruction for beginners and options for on-going students to move toward more advanced postures, including inversions and deep backbends. | ||||||||
| Level 2&3 classes offer less fundamental instruction and focus more on fine tuning. Students will develop a deeper understanding of body mechanics and be introduced to more advanced postures. | ||||||||
| Iyengar Yoga maintains a focus on precise alignment and awareness. The use of props enables students of all levels to execute poses safely and correctly. These classes include inversions, standing poses and backbends. | ||||||||
| * Classes, unless otherwise noted, are 90 minutes in duration and employ various Hatha yoga styles. | ||||||||
